but mess things up. yes, if you can believe the g.o.p. presidential obama is responsible for pretty much everything that's wrong in washington, d.c. today including the traffic. from refusing to reach out across the aisle to the sequester that threatens to disembowel the federal government with $1.2 trillion in spending cuts starting a week from this friday, it is all obama's fault. though if you can believe the president, imagine this now, let me stretch your credulity here, the president wasn't entirely to blame. >> obama: the whole design of these arbitrary cuts was to make them so unattractive and so unappealing that democrats and republicans would actually get together and find a good compromise. unfortunately, congress didn't compromise. >> john: mr. obama at least seemed logical to compromise with republicans. >> obama: i am willing to cut more spending that we don't need. get rid of programs that aren't working. i've laid out specific reforms to our entitlement programs. >> john: now if you're like me you just heard the president offer to cut spending and reform entitlement progr

at this front page story as we did in the washington times today. quote, obama agenda is risky for red state democrats. guy cecil has good news for democrats. he pulled a rabbit, rather a donkey, out of his hat last year when the democrats gained seats. actually gained seats in a year that looked like a sure loser for democrats. that's his job to pull off another miracle and hang onto the senate. maggie has beenerman is at politi politico, a senior politico reporter. this is important although it's a year and a half off, people want to know how obama is going to make it. is he going to put points on the board, immigration reform, something on gun safety. he be likes to talk about himself being a center left version i think of a ronald reagan meaning he wants to get into the history books. the question is can he do it with a republican house? probably not. he's hoping to switch it. let's talk about the senate, however. a lot of people in the democratic party are lucky to be in the senate because they don't match up with the way those states vote in presidential elections. is this a danger? >>

anybody participate in politics? why would we come to washington? some of these people -- this obama guy has tons of influence. so we all have influence. you can think about that, we all have an equal influence, and the court rejected that idea. increasingly, because the court has rejected the quality rationale, or form arguments which are primarily in my view at least at the academic level based on equality, themselves or disguise themselves in the corruption argument, and as a result they further confuse. they talk about it being corrective -- corruptive. when you look at that actual legislation were ideas get ground into legislation, often times equality all has something to do with it. we have to stand by your ad provision. brad smith and i approve this message because you idiots could not figure out that the campaign was approved by me. that is how i would do my disclaimer if i were running. why was that there? the congressional effect -- record is very clear. they thought it would reduce the attack ads on them, reduce negative adds, and you saw a lot feingold n the mccain- amendmen

times -- above the fold in the washington times, a story about president obama's agenda, risky to red state democrats, immigration reform, climate change, increasing taxes, including gun control, all risky to red state democrats. above their head line, they have a picture of the senator that republicans are targeting, mark romneyin alaska -- mitt got 55% of the 2012 vote. in arkansas, mark pryor, mitt romney with 60%. in louisiana, and mary landrieu, mitt romney got 57%. in montana, max baucus, mitt romney with 55% of the vote. in north carolina, kay hagan up for reelection, mitt romney, about 51% of the vote. south dakota, tim johnson, mitt romney, 58% of the vote in 2012. these democrats, looking closely and hesitantly at president obama's agenda, on the issues he laid out in the state of the union address. also, a story about senator johanns, republican of nebraska, he has decided that he is not going to run for reelection in 2014. that is the story many papers have this morning. possibly the governor of that state could consider are wrong. senator mike johanns, not running in 2014
